Collection: Augusta Training Shop
Established in 1947, the Augusta Training Shop is a non-profit work center located in Augusta, Georgia, which employs mentally and physically challenged adults, including adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, deafness, and blindness. The talented employees work daily with pride to learn useful and potentially wage-earning skills by restoring furniture and metals to their former glory and utilizing the dying art of hand caning.
By learning what they CAN DO, ATS employees gain a sense of respect and acceptance, and their families see their loved ones experience joy while making lasting friendships. The work of the ATS employees reflects their dedication, worthwhile endeavor, and painstaking care they give to each task.
The Augusta Training Shop programs are funded entirely by revenue from their work and from contributions of individuals, churches, and businesses. They are a United Way of the CSRA affiliate. The compassionate work and quality workmanship of the dedicated staff of the ATS is well known throughout their community.
By purchasing their beautifully handmade snowflakes, you are granting ATS employees rich opportunities to partake in a dignified work and meaningful life.
